Hakeem Croom,

Hakeem Croom is a college administrator, author, and empowerment speaker. Hakeem serves as a board member for the Lyft Experience, a non-profit organization that leverages mentorship, partnership, and innovation to provide Sacramento high school youth of color, grades 9-12, with the right set of tools that contribute to their success during and after their secondary education years. Hakeem received his B.A in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia and his M.A. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at California State University, Sacramento. Hakeem sees the world through a Social Justice, Critical Race, Psychosocial, and Pan-Africanist lens; moreover, he uses these vantage points to connect the linkage of social constructs, and human behavior to systemic oppression targeted to peoples and communities of African descent. Hakeem hails from Harlem, New York.
