Juneteenth is a day to celebrate and embrace ALL that it means to be Black in America. It's a time to celebrate overcoming hardships, celebrate our strides towards progress, celebrate our creativity, our beauty, our strength and our fortitude. It's Our day, Our way!

Why did JFFNYC get started?

JFFNYC was founded on 4 Pillars: Celebrate, Motivate, Educate & Liberate! This festival sets out to create a safe space for New Yorkers to celebrate Black people, motivate Black creatives to push Black culture forward, to educate the masses on racial equity and liberate the Black community from racial injustices in its many forms.

How does JFFNYC plan to do this? By producing quality programming and community based events! We believe that with educating the community, coupled with resources, true liberation for all oppressed groups can be achieved!
